Candle Spells

One of the most ancient religious practices still used today is the power of lighting candles. It is widely believed in all religions that lighting a candle puts us in touch with a higher source, therefore it gives us the chance to feel closer to loved ones who have passed on. But sometimes we need to pass our thoughts on to a higher source to ask for help and guidance for those who are also still in the material world.

It is known from ancient times that birds carry messages to and from the gods, so by using both candles and birds in a spell, there is no doubt that a message can be safely delivered. These candle spells work well for everybody, give them a try.

First, find a crows feather, and using as a pen lightly scratch the first initial of the person the spell is for close to the wick of a small candle. Lick your finger then go over the initial with your spit. Light the candle and stay with it until it goes out. Leaving the candle for a few minutes to answer the phone etc is ok, but the spell is better done in the evening when you are relaxing watching the TV. Some spells take longer than others, but unless there is a sudden draught putting the flame out, the spell is complete when the candle goes out on its own and it should not be relit.

Brown candles are different. These help sell things, and you need a dumpy votive candle for this. If you are selling a car, scratch the registration number on the side of the candle with a pin. If it’s a house, abbreviate the address and put the post or zip code on it. Seal it with your spit, and also do the initial as normal with the crow feather beside the wick. To get a good price for what you are selling, burn a yellow candle beside it.

The spell is complete when the candles go out, but to seal the spell you have to take a small piece of left over wax, and put it into earth. Either throw it outside or put it in a plant pot. Mother Nature has to be thanked for giving you success.

If you are not sure if a feather belongs to a crow or not, then as long as it is black and no smaller than a pen, you can be sure it belongs to a crow, raven or magpie, all are messengers of the gods.
